Sell on StudentArtGallery
This gallery is exclusively for students. Graduate students, seniors and second semester juniors are given first consideration. Your work - three to six pieces - are digitally submitted and reviewed by a selection team. If selected, we work with you on setting the price and your work is then installed in the gallery. Artist participation in FREE.
Setting the price
You recommend the price. If our selection team determines a different price, you have the choice of withdrawing your artwork. If the variance in price is less than 15%, the artwork will be installed at the selection team's established price.
When it's sold
From the listed price, you received 60%, your school receives 10%, and the remaining 30% is used to pay our expenses and further develop our gallery. Your responsibility is to get your artwork to an UPS Store, and they will pack and ship your creation.
If it doesn't sell
Once your artwork has been installed, we will watch it closely. If there is little interest after ninety days, we will contact you and ask you to replace the piece with another.
If my artwork is not selected
If you are early in your academic career, we may ask you to give way to your elder classmates. In addition, we work hard to make sure that our gallery has a great balance of diverse artwork. We pay attention to genre and medium, and at times will have too much of some, and not enough of another. It is possible that we love your art, but will ask you to wait a short while for 'an opening'.
Who pays for shipping
We have an international account with UPS. They have set fees based on the size and weigh of an item. We have applied their fee schedule to the transaction, with the buyer paying for the shipping cost. If it is more expensive than what the buyer was charged, we absorb the difference - there is never a cost to you.
How can I introduce myself to the site's visitors
There are two ways for the buyer to know about you: 1. you can create an 'Artist's Profile' to tell as much about yourself as you want (pictures and videos can be used!), and 2. you can add a story to any work of art, discussing your thoughts, emotions or inspiration. If the buyer has a specific question for you, they will have e-mail access to contact you.
Get Started
