Artist's Statement

The visual realm has always beckoned me and my creative passions to explore its demanding terrain with as much bravery as I can muster. I am driven to realize all my artistic aspirations through the joys of painting and drawing. Fueled by the inspirations of daily life, music and the written word, I strive to uncover the only truths I know through Art. In the most significant way, visual creation is my mode of expression, release, understanding and closure. It functions as a way to crystallize my scattered thoughts, my tail-ends of dreams and intangible glimpses of emotion. Art will continue to impact all aspects of my life, and hopefully with time, I will in turn make the humblest imprint on its vast history and mighty memory. Diana C. (2010)
